I live in SE Texas..have a wonderful husband...2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren. I enjoy reading, working in my yard, and CROSS STITCH! I've got enough stash to keep me busy for a very long time!

I am also a doll collector and I have a nice collection of Santas. Too much 'stuff' but a lot of fun.

Doll Collection

Below are just a few of the dolls in my collection.

This cute little doll is named Zoe. I found her sitting on a shelf in an antique store. She is one of my favorites in my collection.

These are Wendy Lawton dolls. They are porcelain and jointed.

These are Mary Engelbreit dolls made by Robert Tonner. They have a bigger wardrobe than I do.

These are also Wendy Lawton dolls. I love their sweet faces.

I have a series of dolls holding their own little doll. This is one of the cutest in that collection.

My young grandson called the other day to wish me Happy Birthday. He asked me how old I was, and I told him, "62." He was quiet for a moment, and then he asked, "Did you start at 1?"

A grandmother was telling her little granddaughter what her own childhood was like: "We used to skate outside on a pond. I had a swing made from a tire; it hung from a tree in our front yard. We rode our pony. We picked wild raspberries in the woods." The little girl was wide-eyed, taking this all in. At last she said, "I sure wish I'd gotten to know you sooner!"

When my grandson Billy and I entered our vacation cabin, we kept the lights off until we were inside to keep from attracting pesky insects. Still, a few fireflies followed us in. Noticing them before I did, Billy whispered, "It's no use, Grandfather. The mosquitoes are coming after us with flashlights."

When my grandson asked me how old I was, I teasingly replied, "I'm not sure." "Look in your underwear, Grandfather," he advised. "mine says I'm four to six."
